Technical SEO: Audits and Optimisation
Let’s Talk!Technical SEO consultancy
Technical SEO can appear overwhelming and discourage stakeholders from being directly involved in resolving issues, and to be honest, most don’t have to be directly involved. As an experienced technical SEO consultant, it’s my job to provide a detailed audit with solutions and actions, explained in practical terms, specific to each stakeholder who needs to action them.
My technical SEO audits and fixes will be unique to your website build and CMS (content management system). I will brief all relevant stakeholders (web developers, content writers, marketing consultants) in the appropriate level of detail, help to fix issues and keep track of all solutions being implemented.
Technical SEO audit process
-
Do a top-level analysis of your website to determine the scope of technical SEO issues and therefore time and cost needed for a full audit
-
Gain access to Google Analytics (or similar), Google Search Console, and your CMS (content management system) where possible
-
Audit your website/s and list issues, their causes, and specific solutions, with a separate collaborative checklist for all stakeholders
-
Present audit, confirm a game plan and timeline, collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates through to completion
-
(Optional) After 3-6 months, report on the impact to your KPIs (e.g., rankings, traffic, conversions) and periodically re-audit your site
My technical SEO consultancy can focus on just the audit phase, leaving you to resolve the issues, or I can include the resolving of issues found, reporting on the impact of changes to your KPIs and perform follow-up audits. I will propose options based on your existing budgets, resources, and SEO KPIs.
Areas of technical SEO
Broadly speaking, here are the areas of technical SEO I will audit (a full audit will include a more comprehensive list of elements):

If applicable, how well your SEO tags, geo-targeting tags, and content are configured to target users from international search engines.
Actionable technical SEO solutions
I pride myself on providing straight-forward technical SEO solutions that will make the most of your time, budgets, and impact your bottom line and not just because its industry standard. This is informed by my years of experience working with various platforms and CMS’s (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, HubSpot and so on), both as an SEO and web developer, figuring out the best and most efficient way to resolve issues for the long-term.
I will also brief you on which issues are likely to reoccur and what processes you need internally in order to avoid them.
What is technical SEO?
Technical SEO involves optimising the elements on the back-end of your website and on your server. The main purpose is to improve how well search engines crawl (discover pages), index (store pages), display, and rank your website in search results.
It also ensures your visitors have the best user experience, helping CTR (click-through rate), engagement and conversion rates.
